Cities in the Loire
Angers, Tours, Blois and Orleans are the major cities of the Loire Valley. Tours and Blois are both approximately 50km from the La Grande Michellerie as is Chateauroux.
Tours ~ is the capital city of the department of "Loire et Indre" in which we are situated. This historic university city boasts 100's of cafes and bars, plenty of history and good shopping too!
Blois ~ capital of the "Loire" department sits on a hill overlooking the Loire river. Again there is plenty to see and do, some great eating and shopping.
Chateauroux ~ not counted as part of the Loire Valley it has plenty to offer but lacks some of the historic glamour of Tours and Blois. It does provides a good diversity of food and shopping.
